☆ ENTRY 001: Speculated MM 12th Gen Auditionees

Little DIVA

(from left) Kakihara Natsumi - Nakamoto Mizuki - Danbara Takeru

There has been an excited buzz among Morning Musume fans. For months, fans waited patiently for the announcement of the 10 Finalists.

These are girls from Hiroshima Actors School's Little DIVA. There has been some speculation that they are auditioning for the 12th Generation of Morning Musume. As a group, they really blow me away. They blend very well and despite their young ages, I can feel a lot of stage presence, especially from Mizuki Nakamoto. If girls with this much talent are auditioning, then the competition is probably very tough.

This school has really great singers.

However, Tsunku hasn't always been very predictable. I don't think the voice is the only thing that will win the girls their place in Morning Musume. Though, I also admit that I have no idea what Tsunku is looking for. He doesn't exactly share rubrics.

I wonder if he'd take all of them for Morning Musume, or save them for Juice=Juice. With one member gone, they might add another member. Anything can happen really.

Kakihara Natsumi

She has such a great voice and a pretty face. Among the three of them, I can honestly say I find her the prettiest. Her voice still shakes and it sometimes feels like she is screaming at some parts. However, it isn't really noticeable and she has very good technique. I do understand that she is dancing at the same time, so it is inevitable that her voice will shake.

I wish I could see more expression in her eyes though and a bit more fluid with her movements maybe.

Nakamoto Mizuki

Vocally, this girl is my favorite. Her voice is strong and has a lovely vibrato. I personally can't find anything wrong with her voice at all. I like her face. There is something charismatic about it. Maybe it is the eyes. Her eyes are quite strong and it makes her look commanding. I'd like someone like that in Morning Musume. She would play the opposite to Sakura Oda's gentle character. Her movements don't feel stiff and the fact that even though she is moving her voice doesn't crack is just impressive.

I am hoping that she really makes it all the way to finals at least. I want to see more of her.

Danbara Takeru

She is so young but such great vocal technique, though probably not perfectly polished. That can be fixed in a few more years.

She has a noticeable strength though. Among the three of them, she has showed the most variety of expressions and gestures while singing, something that I also like. She seems to be a singer that also uses her face. She smiles with her eyes and her lips, while singing. Not an easy thing to do.
